The Stem Cell Institute was established by the Council of Ministers in the body of Ankara University in accordance with the Decree issued with the decision no. 2009/15561 in the Official Gazette no. 27412 dated 20 November 2009, and is the first Institute established in the relevant field.
The main purpose of the Stem Cell Institute is to provide guidance and equilibrium on “stem cells” – a subject of great reflections on society, emotions, ethics and politics – by the use of the reliable, scientific identity of a pioneer foundation such as Ankara University.
Upon the establishment of our Institute, we have been aiming to provide science and the public with research, service and education activities related to stem cell applications within the body of Ankara University, with the greatest contribution and the best efficiency.
